I would like to trade a guided hunt either archery or rifle in the red desert of Wyoming for a Lake of the Woods or Devils Lake ice fishing for two. Will supply multiple blinds on water holes for archery. Rifle hunt is 100%. Have pics. of recent hunts.

Hey Bugeye,I worked in Rock Springs for 3 years. This was in 1978,79,80.The rig was out in theRed desert area.Hung out in Farson, lived in Lander for one year.Tryingto remember a waterhole we stopped at on our way to RS.I think it was called the Oregan trail Bar?Beautiful wild country, fished the sweetwater, big Sandy res and few other streams-=not sure i got the names right.Could help you out on a DL fishing. It would have to be before feb 15.then i head for TX.Shot a few antelope over by green River, and fished the Flaming Gorge to.Do you know a Lance Herman?

Murdock, If you have been to Rock Springs than you know what I am talking about. We took 5 goats this year average score,78. 2 archery and 3 rifle. 14 booners in this area this season. I quit this web site because of people like Nitro. First time in months that I have looked on this site and someone has to be a ---hole.

The goats i shot was with a rifle, but i do love to bow hunt.On our many trips back and forth to the rig we saw many nice goats and a few elk.I'am not a guide but have been fishing Dl for the last 20 years and still learning new spots and ways of catching fish on it.Would love to come out that way agin and do some trout fishing. Those were some good times!

Bugeyed,
I'm not a guide or anything that detestable, but I do have an 8' X 12' insulated permanent ice house on LOW at Long Point which is north of Williams.

It certainly isn't trophy walleye fishing by any means but it's a way to pass time in the winter. I've fished the Minnesota, Manitoba, and Ontario waters of LOW so I may be able to direct you in the right direction if you are looking for more than a fun weekend catching eating size walleye and saugers.

Send me an email at lbratlie@gft.midco.net if you're interested, not sure I'd even take you up on your end of the offer but I'm willing to help you out on this end.

BTW, if I told you how good the fishing has been on LOW the past 2 weeks you wouldn't believe me, but I can say it probably won't be this good until much after Christmas.

Send me an email if you're interested.

Bugeyed, more than interested here, let me know if you want me to show you around DL. I have shown 2 other profisherman around the lake. One was Rick Franklin and he placed 3rd in the PWT there 3-4 years ago. So I do know the spots to go if you would like to catch some nice fish, and could most likely get on some good perch action.
Email me at jeremylund@daktel.com and let me know.

Hell I'll pack gear to come along on that trip. Either one. Seriously. Well at least this year I'll get to Devil's Lake finally, need perch for Friday night.
Yeah, it's kind of like that.

I know you mentioned DL or LOW the woods in your post, but I would be very willing to take you out on the west end of Lake Sakakawea if something does not work out with the first two choices. I spend alot of time fishing the west end, summer and winter, and I'm sure Sakakawea would not dissappoint. The two lakes you mentioned produce very nice catches of fish, but I would put Sakakawea right up with them through the ice any day. Shoot me an email if you have any interest. smeschke@ndsupernet.com I keep a detailed log of each trip I take and would be happy to forward to you to look at.
