Hello,

My name is Josh Burgett. I live a stone's throw from the Red River, with my beautiful wife and daughter.

I'm a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain, and I'm usually catching bait, fishing, or maintaining equipment my garage.

I set up for battle when I drop my boat in the river. I’m anticipating “breaking 20 pounds” for a catfish each time I go out. That’s my goal, no matter if I have clients/friends along or just by myself. From shore or boat. High water or low water. Rain, sleet or snow. 

As for Walleye, I am disappointed if I can't get a fish bigger than 7 pounds in the boat! I've caught and released so many in the 4 to 8 pound range, that I don't get excited unless I see something 8 to 13 pounds.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, our German Shorthair Pointer, riding motorcycle, participating in professional Mixed Martial Arts, mowing the lawn, and I also love to cook.

I love taking advantage of not spending money on White Suckers, Creek Chubs, Fatheads, Nightcrawlers, Frogs, Crayfish, Crickets, and Goldeye.

I also love ice fishing, especially the Red River. Throw in about 20-25 different dams and lakes within 100 miles of the ND/MN border and that’s my life.
