A true beer drinker (not taster), needs options. Why limit yourself to the top; when you can experience the bottom of the rack. Busch Light is the true beer drinkers beer. If you don't like the blue yummies you A.) aren't a beer drinker; or B.) have never experienced the bottom of the rack. On the 8th day the 30 pak was invented for those who realize that if they are not still biting, they are about to fire up again.

re: Favorite Brew

posted by: bucksnbears. Dakota Beer. It was brewed right on the east side of Bismarck
on Main St across the street from the Big Boy. Now, that was
some really BAD beer and I don't think they could even give
it away by the time they closed. When I was in Vietnam, all
we ever got was warm Falstaff, and that also was some real
gut rot. It was warm but it was beer, so we drank it. When I
got home I tried to drink Budweiser out of business but that
didn't work, and it was really cold beer to. The best beer I
ever had was when I was on R&R in Thailand. I don't remember
the name, but it was a dark beer, ice cold and about 13% alcohol.
THAT was some good stuff. I think it was called "baht" beer.
Been to many years..................

re: Favorite Brew

posted by: permo. Besides a good Busch Light, I really enjoy a cold Heineken. That's my treat beverage besides a bottle of JD Single Barrel!

Suprised no one else has mentioned that.

re: Favorite Brew

posted by: guns4ever. 1st choice absolute favorite............Killian's Red from a tap.

Grain Belt Premuim is also very good. Coors light on the boat in the summer.

Would have to agree with both. also Leiney's honey wiess is good stuff
re: Favorite Brew

posted by: permo. I am jealous. Belgium is the disney land of beers. I have tried most of the authentic trappist ales, and judging by the performance and fermentation charcteristics of their yeast, I am thinking they are mutated strains of wine or champaign yeast. I am familiar with MJ's work, and I have also ready brew like a monk. There is no Salt Peter in their beers. Their secret is their yeast strains, high fermentation temperatures, high attenuation rates and adding sugar incrementally to the beer to ramp up ABV and lighten the body.

I can brew something very similar to newcastle brown ale. It is the classic southern english style brown ale. That is one of the best and most forgiving styles for a brewer to make. I can give you a recipe for all grain or extract if you like.

re: Favorite Brew

posted by: svnmag. I'm a big fan of the now French owned AB(spelling avoided with abbreviation) from Bud Light on up. I do not like to excrete live, rabid animals with claws and stay away from all things "Busch" side of the house. Corn is for whisky. Not beers.
