Red River (North) - Thursday, June 16, 2011

Report Details
Attention shorefisherman.

The tributaries are chalk full of awesome multi-species action. I got a decent inventory of goldeye last night on a bobber, jig, and crawler, and switched up presentations with just a jig and crawler. Lots of small, eater, male Catfish with a healthy mix of Drum, Sauger, Walleye, Carp, and pike. All the fish other than carp, and the occasional drum or goldeye, are relating to current. So culverts, dams, etc should be the target.

Good luck!

the conditions change so much along the river.  Which area are you in: Whap, Fargo, Grand Forks, Drayton?

Grand Forks area, sorry.
Shouldn't be any different in the Fargo area though, if the creeks and smaller tributaries aren't running full speed.

Same thing in Fargo.  Fished a trib on Saturday caught cats, drum, carp, sauger, walleye.  It was slow, and the cats watned to suck on the bait rather than take it.  My best luck was a hook and worm on the bottom, that's how I got the eye and sauger.
