i will be trying to fish the red river by grand forks last week in august for a couple of days.how low does the river have to be to lauch.also what lauches are there.thanks for the help.

There is three boat landings in the grand froks/ east grand forks. two are in grand forks and one is in east grand forks. the one in egf is right below Cabelas. To launch your boat in the egf landing. the water level probasbly has to be below around 23 to 24 ft. The other landings are good, it doesnt matter how high the water is. But if the river is over 28 ft its illegal to fish the red river. use caution if the river is high. You should time it just right, i think the river will  be perfect then and the fishing will be great.

go to catfishleague.com and and scroll all the way to the bottom of the home page. click on water level. That will lead you to a website that shows how high the river is. have fun and enjoy the majestic red river of the north
