I was just reading the forum online and it looks like this online store OutdoorBunker.com opened a retail outlet in Moorhead. I'm just wondering if anyone has bought anything from these guys or have had any experience with them.

I'm jus looking at there website now I may have to run over and check out the store.

They had a booth set up at the Sportsman show at the dome. Alot of tactical stuff, there were some pretty neat illuminated scopes for a decent price. I got a card from them somewhere.

I recently ordered through their online store and had a VERY negative experience. They did NOT fill my entire order and the ONE item I really wanted from their site did not get shipped even though their web site showed it did. I tried calling the number on their site at least twenty times over a 10-day period at all different hours and always was put in call waiting hell that cut me off every time after 3-minutes. I submitted inquiries through their online web site 6-times and NEVER received a response. I responded to shipping notifications they sent for my one order (they split the shipment in two because they put two items on back order / did not have on hand, but their web site said they were available.  BOTTOM LINE: ZERO customer service bordering on criminal  --- they will take an order, just won't fill it or respond when you follow up!!!

I have been in their store in Moorhead a handful of times.  While they don't have anybody to greet you at the door and say "hi" (like scheels does), I'd rate their customer service behind the desk as "ok". It wasn't anything exceptional, but wasn't bad.  I can't remember the guy's name I dealt with (Dave, I think), but he was very helpful.  I bought a Nikon Monarch 3-12x42 scope from them.  I explained to Dave that this was the scope I was looking for and he told me they didn't have it in stock or in their warehouse at the time.  He said he would monitor their shipments and when one came in, he'd let me know.  He was true to his word.   He kept in contact with me throughout the whole process (eta of arrival, cost, etc.)  It came roughly a week before deer rifle opener (which is a busy time for businesses like this) so I was more than happy about the level of service that he personally gave me.  He even gave me a discount on the scope.  Normally it was $420, he charged me $360.  He stated that they were trying to grow their in-store business numbers and can under-cut competitors prices to obtain the business.  I figured, this was the scope I was going to buy, why not get it as cheap as I could?  I also had a coupon for an additional 15% which knocked the price down to $306.  Couldn't pass that one up!!!  I would (and have) recommended their store.  The selection isn't huge, but they have enough stuff there and combined with the internet, for you to find pretty much whatever you need.  They have a pretty cool full sized mount of 2 bucks fighting in there to take a look at too.  Overall, I have been satisfied with their store and will shop there again.
Get up at 5 in the morning, walk through miles of cattails, sit in a stand all day in the cold, come back home in the dark, get up the next day and do it all over again. I'd do that for a buck!
