I fished Four Mile bay this weekand out of Morris point the fishing was good. I talked to 3 groups of people out there and they all got there limit by 1:00. We fished in about 19' to 20' of water. Morris Point has got a road you can take out, but it costs 7.00 dollars. Every place we checked there was 10'' to 11'' of ice. there were some jeeps on the ice too.

Report off the River BEND Resort web page www.riverbendlodgeresort.com I have been to this resort many times and they have Great FISHING Accommodations!

Hello anglers!
We have ice! And we fish all we need is fisher people! Been cold at night and that has made for good ice on the bays with 6" to 8" of ice. No wind and cold weather is going to open up some cracks and as always ask before you go. The lake is rough ice for 300 to 500 yard of pine island with 5" to 7" inches of ice and spots with as little as 3" inches reported 2 days ago. As with the cold weather we are making ice and I will report next week again on ice conditions.

Fishing on the bay is good morning and evening in 14' feet of water. The lake is great fishing in 16' feet of water off pine island. Both with jig and minnow. Chubs or shiners didn't seem to make a difference, when their biting their biting. Morning and evening is reported as best but action is seen all day.

We have all our houses on the bay and we will get them on the lake Tuesday and Wednesday next week. The guides are working hard to get everything ready and next week is looking good for fishing in our houses on the lake. 4 wheelers and portables this weekend is the best choice. Guys walking out on the bay are doing well.

So there's ice, there's fish and were here to get you going!

Charlie.

Report from River Bends website
27 November 2006

We have 5-7 inches of ice on 4 Mile bay off of Wheelers Point with portables fishing at this time. Those out there report its a hot bite and at times 2 rods are too much! The info I'm getting is from a group of 12 people fishing.
We are open for business and ready to fish! If you would like to fish at this time it is on your own as River Bend is not on the ice yet. I am going to start checking ice thickness Tuesday as some weather is moving through the area tonight thru Tuesday. The forecast is for colder temps Tuesday thru the weekend. When are we going to be on the lake fishing? A!S!A!P!!!!!!!! Rember fishing with River Bend is fun!

we were anchored in about 19 feet of water, jigging with 3/8 oz. fireball jigs, color didn't matter much. i personally did good on green with frozen shiners.
not much boat activity on the rainy, most people were hunting, at least thats what i gathered, lots of hunters up there.

I knew they would be going strong this past weekend. Tried to convince many people to go, but no takers. Couple questions for ya, are you jigging (anchored or drifting) or pulling spinners? And is is busy on deer opener up there, how many boats at the ramps? Thanks for any info you provide.

Got to Fish Saturday near the south shore being wind from the south prevented any venturing out on the muddy flats of LOW. Fished Near Morris Point, The Field, and somewhere else on the east side of Long point. We ended up cleaning nine nice fish out of 3 people in the boat. Unfortunately we lost a bunch and some where just to small for the live well. The best fishing we had come from the Cut to the field in 8 feet of 65 deg water if any are familar with the east side of long point. 1-1/2oz inline sinker, Fire LINE, spinning a medium silver with some hint of yellow blade 4-5 foot worm harness.

Fished LOW this weekend, Pounded the lake trout. I have never seen a year where we have caught so many big trout. Whew my forearms are killing. Good to be back in the states though. Stoped into baudette on the way home worked 4 mile hard and only had a few fish to show for. My uncle went out a few miles and found the bounty of walleyes. Sometimes you should follow instead of leading right. Ohh yeah pulled limits of walleyes each day while up north. Roll up a fatty for this pimp daddy. Rasta
