Went to lake of the woods this weekend fishing was slow came home with 10 walleye between 3 guys threw some back too small. Herd of some vehicles going through. we were 3 miles out on sat and 4 miles out on sun.

about 18 inches out past the island but very spooky ridges all over. rumors say pickup up fell through the ice at morris point last friday, so be careful. Closer to the river though just out from adrian's access where there is a group of house's the ice was only about 12-13"

Heading to lake of the woods were would be a good spot to fish? How thick is the ice? probally going out by pine island had luck there 1 month ago. Stil biting good? Also looking for a cheep place to pass out at any ideas.

Fished out of adrian's sat and sunday, sat morn went out to about 26 fow and caught 5 11-14 inchers then went into close to the mouth shortly before dark and caught one nice eye about 19'' about 1/2 hour after dark then a couple of small ones. sunday morn fished about 21 feet out past the island and caught 8 or 9 11-16" then moved out to about 32 feet in the afternoon and caught couple nice eaters and 3 big ole pout! slow but fun!

we absolutely hammered them out side of pine island. It was walleye after walleye. Most averaging 16 inches. Very few saugers. Rasta

Fished LOW on Thursday and Friday. We fished Adrian on Thursday and it was SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. Tried 24 FOW and got 3 eyes. On Friday we fished Zippey's (I think) and tried 20 FOW and got a couple of eyes. Picked up 3 more eaters. Fishing was slow, but nice to be out.

I blieve so....got this from Ballards website:
"....The guides are finding eight to ten inches of ice to work with, and the shacks are being taken out to the main basin. Early reports look good. Two of our guides did some pre-fishing a couple of days ago... And they caught about sixty walleyes / saugers in FOUR hours. NOW, that's just plain good hustle! We're looking forward to the start of the season. And again, as mentioned, we will be ready to FISH by this Friday, the 8th of December...." |

Fished out of the Angle this past weekend (base camp at Brush Island). Fish were all caught in 17'-25' water. We had best luck pulling spinners/crawlers just fast enough to move the blades. Seemed like anything with white on the blade was working. Most fish in that 15-19" range. Weather was great all weekend. It was my first time fishing up there, and I am already planning another trip.
