Does anybody know anything about this breed. Do they hunt? They seem like the best of both worlds or the worst.

Yeah they have been around around for sometime, have a buddy that has a labordoodle 4 years old and smart as can be,non-hunter but has all the triats of a good field dog. Then we have another hybrid called a "goldendoodle" and watched one work at a local open field trial last summer, other than looking a little shaggy this dog was a machine and had all the great people features as a golden.

They breeds were spendy when they became public,$1500 to 2k not sure where the prices are now?

I know of a couple guys who use them.  One thing that is even more interesting is that Jameson Parker, of the television show simon and simon fame, has a television hunting show and he hunts with a standard poodle.  it is a pretty good upland dog, although you have to keep them shaved really close and they seem to kinda get cold on those late south dakota pheasant hunts.  i guess this is a pretty common thing in some places, but not really in Pierre, where i live

A buddy of mine has a chocolate labadoodle and it is amazing I have a springer spaniel that I love but if I hunted more waterfowl I would definatly invest in one
