We found this dead deer on the road a few yards away, drug it into some trees and put a trail cam on it.

Coyotes dont eat deer, he must have just been walking though the area.

Yeah right. you didn't find that deer on the road.  that demon yote obviously killed it right in front of you while you had your camera.  Same thing as people telling me they see coyotes eating on deer next to the road that they killed.    everyone knows coyotes don't eat carrion, they kill everything they eat.

right in deed, no way a coyote could run down and kill a healthy deer.
