My Dodge Ram has 175,000 miles and I'd love the next pickup to be a Ram but... Ugh. The bailout crap just makes my blood boil.

It's not the people of MI or the clawing back from the brink, that part gets my admiration, it was the taxpayer money going to inept and crooked auto executives and labor unions. MY MONEY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN USED TO PAY OFF BAD BUSINESS DECISIONS AND POLICIES... PERIOD.

I didn't like the "we came together and saved this industry" line, because I was writing letters to my reps telling them NO NO NO, and they spent some of my money to bail out crooks/idiots. Like I had a choice?

Impossible!  Baroke Obama said he would have the most "transparent" administration.   Compared to what I'm not sure....maybe Russia?   It is absolutely sickening the shit that goes on in our nations capital.

Sorry i did read that but it slipped my mind, and your right Ford just went to the banks before the others and took a bunch of money from there. Also Ford has already been bailed out twice in the past.

I'm glad we bailed out these companies.  Enough of our companies have been bought out by foreigners and are no longer controlled by us or have American roots.  I can't for the life of me figure out how shortsighted some people are as they rejoice when an American company gets in trouble or how they complain when we as a people through our government try to save the very companies that helped make this country great. I know I'd much rather use my tax dollars to have their employees working and making a product than sitting at home getting their unemployment and other assistance checks as they hope for our economy to pick up so some other job becomes available.
