Anyone ever tried it? Or should it be boiled, braised or broiled?

It is tough as gorillia glue unless  You use it in a slow cooker and put in some cheap beer like PBR or old mil  If you decide to fry it make sure all the fat is trimmed and low heat  and cover it it is good to grill but need to be soaked in your own marinade then throw it on the grill but cover the top with foil  It makes good stew cut in cubes add veggies and it will fall apart.   It is really striggy.  Slow cook overnight and it is like pulled pork

My favorite bear I had was, cut into one inch chunks, marinate it in McCormicks SW marinade, then roast on a fire with a marshmello stick!!  Works great on any wild game.

I had it many times and it is somewhat tough if you fry it.  We had ours tenderized and it helped  a lot.  Also the slow cooker works well but i was told to make sure you get it hot as they can carry trichinosis like hogs can.  Don't know if true but better safe than sorry!

Backstraps I'd start out dusted in flour in a scalding hot pan with a little oil/crisco.  Brown, flip, add a couple oz of Jack Daniels, lower head, cover, simmer to Med-rare.  The Jack made a sweet gooey gravy, the bear was tender.

I marinated and grilled my backstraps. Also good.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." -Edmund Burke

"The time at which I stand before you is full of interest. The eyes of all nations are fixed on our Republic. The event of the existing crisis will be decisive in the opinion of mankind of the practicability of our federal system of government. Great is the stake placed in our hands; great is the responsibility which must rest upon the people of the United States. Let us realize the importance of the attitude in which we stand before the world. Let us exercise forbearance and firmness. Let us extricate our country from the dangers which surround it and learn wisdom from the lessons they inculcate."
