Feds go door to door

Not sure how I feel about this.  I've read the "non-Rush" versions of the story as well.  From what I gather they're targeting people who have purchased guns that the serial numbers then turn up on guns involved in crimes in Mexico.  The lady who purchased those four guns lived in a run down old ricky house that showed she couldn't come close to affording guns like that.  Another was a cop who'd purchased guns that actually ended up in crimes and who said they were stolen the night he purchased them but he never reported them. Needless to say he wouldn't explain why he didn't report it.  The next day he'd gone to Mexico and the guns had been involved in crimes there.  If they're really actually targeting the people who are doing this GREAT!!!  The more people are scared of giving or selling guns to criminals the better for those of us who use them for legitimate purposes.  In my opinion it's scumbags who sell guns to people they know aren't allowed or shouldn't have guns that are ruining it for us who use them legimately. 

I guess this deal hits home pretty hard for ol Rushbo, have they checked him out yet? or were his drug deals on the up and up, so to speak.

Are you saying in a round about way that Rush Limbaugh is selling guns used in crimes,and selling drugs?  "have they checked him out yet"

Kaptain, Just a question... Did you vote for Obama, because if you did you voted for a confessed cocain user!  He used "blow" in his college years, but then again, its obama the great one so it really does not matter!  I have another question for ya. Are you happy the direction he is leading us now??????

Gonefshn, Are you telling me that Rush doesnt always present the facts of a story, and just uses certain aspects of stories to get his camp riled up? I find that very hard to believe.

Here is the story that he is refering to out of Houston. Like many I have mixed emotions on this. One side of me is happy to see them actually enforcing existing laws about phantom purchase of a gun. IE knowingly buying a gun for another who is legally not elible to do so.

The other side of this is the fact they are mining information from a data base for which this is not suppose to be used for.

I've got no problem with them tracking down specific serial numbers of firearms actuallly used in the commission of a crime.  In fact I strongly support that and think it's vital.

That said, the BATFE going into a gunshop and looking to see who's purchased certain makes/models without a specific serial number of a specific firearm used in a the commission of a crime doesn't seem right at all.  I mean how would the libs like it if the BATFE data mined credit card records and showed up at the doorstep of everyone who bought cigarette papers assuming they were smoking weed?

It is good to see you are paying attention to who supports the HSUS and who is supported by the HSUS. This is way off the subject of this thread but good to see you are thinking,rather than just following. 

hunter77, Bush also used coke when he was younger, and got a DUI. Does that make him less of a person? Did you vote for him? If you did you also voted for a cocaine user. Point being, who cares! That was then. Did you do stupid stuff when you were younger?
