DISCOUNTED EXCELLENT 4 DAY DIY DEER AND TURKEY HUNTING IN NORTH EAST NEBRASKA WITH MULTIPLE DEER AVAILABLE IN A BEAUTIFUL NEW 3 BEDROOM HOUSE PLUS A 2 BED BUNK HOUSE
This is a great hunt for a father & son or daughter, husband and wife or the guys. The lodging is a modern 3 bedroom house which makes it enjoyable for non-hunters to stay why the hunters are hunting right on the property. A modern 3 bedroom house with a hide-a-away bed, plus if needed two more can bunk in a modern large bunk house. It is also a great place for a snorer in the bunch. The deer here are thick as flies and they get even thicker when the 8000 acres of reservations becomes hunted on opening morning and the deer pour in to an area they know of as a refuge because of the limited amount of hunting allowed on the property. This area has one of the highest deer densities around and after the first shot starts deer moving it is like a stampede.
Located just outside of Bloomfield, Nebraska this outfitter offers excellent deer and turkey as  DIY hunt with Lodging. This hunt is for one or two bucks. Hunters may shoot one buck on private land and one or more if you like on the 7690 acres of reservation land. You need one Nebraska and one reservation tag - both can be purchased over the counter. This is a one-of-a-kind experience. The ranch has food plots, mineral licks, two large springs, tower blinds, ridge stands, CRP and numerous trails that get hot on opening morning when hunters push additional deer in from adjacent reservation property. The deer head for the safety of the private property on the ranch. The ranch has 320 acres of prime whitetail habitat with numerous food plots providing deer with a steady dietary supplement during the entire hunting season. You can have one Nebraska tag and one Santee Sioux Indian Reservation tag. This allows you to hunt the ranch and the 7,690 acres of reservation land scattered around the ranch that gets minimal usage each season. Adjacent land in the area is either pasture land or planted in corn, alfalfa or soybeans. There are great accommodations at the lodge where you can cook your own meals or drive eight miles down the road to a restaurant that offers home cooked meals. Both Nebraska and the Indian Reservation deer licenses are available over the counter. There is a maximum of five hunters for the opening weekend four-day hunt. Your hunt includes lodging, field transportation and field care. Northeastern Nebraska is a sleeper for whitetail, the Nebraska Game and Parks is reporting the north eastern corner of the state has the highest population in the state.
This hunt is for 1 or 2 bucks. One on private land and one or more if you like on the 7690 acres plus the Reservation land. You need 1 Nebraska and one reservation tag both are over the counter purchases.
The area has one of the highest populations of whitetails in the nation. A mixture of rolling hills, wood lots, corn, alfalfa, creeks and deer draws make it ideal for the acres whitetail to continue to expand.
The semi-guided hunt is a one of a kind experience. The ranch has food plots, Mineral licks, two large springs, tower blinds, ridge stands, CRP and numerous hot movements trails that get even hotter opening morning when hunters push additional deer in from adjacent reservation property, heading for the safety of the private property on the ranch. The ranch has 320 acres of prime whitetail habitat, with numerous food plots providing a feed attraction during all hunting seasons. You can have one Nebraska tag and one Santee Sioux Indian Reservation tag. This allows you to hunt the ranch and the 7,690 acres of reservation land scattered around the ranch that gets minimal usage each season. Adjacent land in the area is pasture, corn, alfalfa, and Soybeans which change from year to year.
The season dates are set during the rut for rifle and there is still a lot of rutting activity before and after rifle season for the archers. This is a great opportunity to hunt the rut.
Wonder where the best place on the ranch or on the Indian reservation is to hunt, just ask Bill, your semi-guide with many years of experience of hunting and living on the property for any assistance you need.
Stay at the great accommodations at the lodge, cook your own meals or only 8 miles down the road is a restaurant with good home cooked meals. (See the lodge photographers, and the two beds in the guest house, deer, turkey, and samples of the hunting area.) There is also a restraint only 8 miles away with great Nebraska Beef hamburgers.
Both the Nebraska and the Indian Reservation deer licenses are available over the counter. A map of the reservation and the Ranch will be given to each hunter. I recommend purchasing the license after the hunt is booked.
There is a maximum of 5 hunters for the opening weekend 3 day hunts. Then there are 5 more hunters for the last 5 days of the season. They will hunt the 1st of those three days allowing two more as additional days if needed while the season is still open.
Nebraska Deer Hunting Overview:
The whitetail explosion has come from the east and continues to take Nebraska hunters by a storm. The North east corner of Nebraska is known for having more deer then anywhere in the state and way above the average of other states. The once mule deer area has been inundated with whitetails, moving most of the mule deer out, pushing them west. This fantastic hunting has been overlooked by Whitetail Deer hunters for years. Now that it is known our numerous ranches fill up fast. Most of our bookings are return hunters, so open spots are quite limited.
Remember this is not a game farm but a fair chase on animals that have been spotted and patterned in the area. With Bill patterning the areas for years he is very familiar with hunting the areas, and the patterns the deer keep.
We have no control over the Deer, Weather, Mother Nature or Acts of God. If you like the thrill of a good fair chase hunt you will enjoy the hunts we offer greatly. It is important as a hunter to match the hunt your book to the style and type of hunting you like or are use to.  Stands, blinds, or spot and stalk all work well. If you would like to hang you own tree stand please feel free to bring it with you. Any stands are ok as long as you don’t damage the trees.
A multitude of food plots and heavy cover provides what the deer that are pushed out of the local adjacent reservation grounds by reservation hunters. The food plots are designed for deer and turkey and the blends of seed include annuals and perennials so they provide a year round food supply. The plants include Brassicas, Clovers, Alfalfa, Milo, Millet, Peas, Buckwheat, Chicory, Wheat, Rafe, Treacle, Oats and Beans.  Also put in the soil with the seed was fertilizer for the plant along with a balanced ratio of vitamins, minerals, including calcium and phosphorus, (major components in deer antlers), amino acids, and trace elements. All of this is to provide all the things to build healthy deer and larger antlers.
We manage the area predators by shooting any coyotes seen. This provides a high fawn survival rate by a increasing population. There are no trophy fees or deer size penalties, you are free to shoot any buck you see. We do not shoot does, because we have enhanced the feed and cover level so we are always looking for more deer production.
Recommended rifles include a 243 or larger with a scope sighted in dead on at 200 yards.
These are semi-Guided Deer Hunts, which is all the assistance that you need. This includes rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader and bow hunters. The muzzleloader fall season is the month of December and fall either sex turkey is on at the same time has an added benefit of hunting turkey and deer at the same time. The spring turkey is shotguns and archery only. All Nebraska licenses are available on the internet. The Reservation licenses are available by calling the reservation.
As the tags are filled Bill is able to spend excess time with the remaining other hunters. Nebraska requires a mandatory game check of the harvested area and Bill will advise you of the closest check in point to the ranch.
Meat can also be professionally processed locally or in camp, get with Bill for the details. (Clients are responsible for this fee). Your hunt includes lodging, field transportation and field care. Not included are licenses, permits, meat processing, taxidermy, any shipping cost and cost accrued getting to and from or delays to point of hunting location. A taxidermist in the area is Kessler Taxidermy...30 years experience in preserving your trophies. Top quality professional work and a quick turnaround. All phases of Taxidermy work. Deer heads....225.00 any pose Atchison, Kansas
Mistakes some hunters make is having their expectations too high after seeing a mounted big buck in a sporting goods store, watching TV shows or magazine article on monster whitetail bucks. Please keep in mind that most of these show their best hunts which are good for the viewer and advertisers. We have excellent hunting, but it still takes patience. Don’t get impatient or discouraged if you don’t score the first morning. It is not over for 3 days or until the fat lady sings.
