The guys in our talk forums have spoken and have asked for information on contacting Minnesota's legislators and we want to bring that information to you! The 2005 Legislative Session is alive and well with lots and lots of action taking place. Do you want to make a difference? Do you want to protect the rights and even privelidges you've become accustomed to and deserve? If so, get informed and involved with North Star Outdoors. Currently there is a lot of discussion and lively debate about a bill 789 that has been approved by the house and is now in the senate.Bill 789 This bill has wording that would cause non-residents who live in states that have a A boat that is "registered in a state or province that prohibits Minnesota residents from taking game fish or small game during a part of the season that is open to residents of that state and used for fishing on inland waters of Minnesota must be licensed for use on Minnesota inland waters." This subdivision does not applyto a person who is a currently registered guest at a hotel, motel, or resort located in Minnesota." We encourage all our members to post sportsman related issues (or other issues for that matter) on our forumn pages. In addition, we ask for you to email us information that would be suitable for a news release or article in helping get the word out or fueling a constructive debate. The times are changing and with it we need people to be first informed, and then involved! As an individual it's a challenge to make a difference but as a group the challenge fades.
